At the Water Works complex, families can enjoy swimming pools, splash pads, waterslides, and more. It’s a great spot for water play, even when the weather outdoors isn’t ideal. Owners of the lodge wanted to upgrade their existing surfaces in the complex and reached out to SUNDEK of Pennsylvania to help with the project.

To complement the beachy look of the space, SUNDEK used Classic Texture in the Franciscan Tan color.SUNDEK of Pennsylvania specializes in Classic Texture, also known as “knockdown texture.” This coating is known in the industry for being slip resistant, providing peace of mind in a space such as this where kids run and play. It’s also notably easy to clean—a must in an indoor waterpark that hosts thousands of guests throughout the year. Spills and other debris that come in contact with the surface can easily be washed off.
Classic Texture is also known for being incredibly durable. This is a must for a surface that will withstand foot traffic all year long for 8 hours or more each day.
One of Classic Texture’s most beloved qualities is its ability to be customized to fit any style. To complement the water complex’s beachy theme, park owners decided on two neutral colors: Pewter Gray and Franciscan Tan.
For the coping around the spas, SUNDEK used Classic Texture in neutral Pewter Gray.Crews with SUNDEK of Pennsylvania prepped the indoor space, ensuring nothing would be ruined with overspray. After properly preparing the surface so it would accept the new coating, crews carefully applied 9,810 square feet of Classic Texture.
“The new coating provides the theme park with a beachy/sandy feel, all while providing a safe, clean, and anti-slip surface for kids to run and play,” says Mike Foreman, General Manager and Sales representative for SUNDEK of Pennsylvania.
